New story trailer for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate released

Ubisoft has released a brand new story trailer for its upcoming game, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. It starts out slow, picks up pace and then ends with a bang; just the way I like it if you know what I mean.

Before I dive into my analysis mode and make this all boring, check out the trailer below.

It’s a rather simple trailer really. It starts off by introducing the (probable) main antagonist of the game, Crawford Starrick. Ubisoft seems to have chosen the Vaas/Pagan Min option here as the guy clearly comes off as being a little nutty with some anger issues on the side. A few of the other villains (seven of them) are also introduced about whom most of us are not gonna care about by the time the trailer ends. We might have game progression similar to that of Assassin’s Creed, where you had to finish off one target to move on to the next one.

And here is where the trailer really picks up. There are enough one liners in the trailer to make Hollywood look like a shy kid and enough action to make…………..well……………Hollywood look like a shy kid (I really thought I could come up with a better one liner than that. Oh well.). The team seems to have opted to follow in the steps of Unity and make the protagonist a little fun and entertaining. Let’s hope, for everyone’s sake that it works out.

One more intriguing thing was that, towards the end of the trailer, the siblings seem to have a falling out. Ubisoft have already made it pretty clear that both the protagonists have a different arsenal and different gameplay style set. Seems like that these differences will carry over to the narrative as well. This should be interesting.

Hopefully, Ubisoft haven’t given us too much and there is still a lot more to explore when the game comes out. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate comes out on on October 23, 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and on November 19, 2015 for Microsoft Windows. Barring any Ubi-delays that is.
