Ubisoft has, unsurprisingly, announced the season pass details for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. And guess who’s knocking. Jack The Ripper.
Okay, maybe that wasn’t as surprising as it should have been. Given the timeline, including Jack The Ripper was practically a no brainer. The season pass announcement was tagged along with a brief video that, in simple words, shows Jack The Ripper stalking his next victims and acting all psycho-y (you know how it goes). None of the protagonists (Jacob or Evie) were included in the trailer, so it is not yet clear as to who you will be playing as. You can check out the trailer below.
There were no gameplay elements revealed. However, Ubisoft has a decent history with Assassin’s Creed DLCs. The tyranny of George Washington DLC which was a part of Assassin’s Creed 3, brought something new to the game, as it was set in an alternate universe and Freedom Cry, which was a DLC of Assassin’s Creed 4, had a pretty decent story element in it. So, if this Jack The Ripper campaign turns out to be just another of those murder mysteries missions from Assassin’s Creed Unity, a lot of people including me, are going to be disappointed. Lets hope, for our sake and Ubisoft’s, that is not the case.
And that is not all. The season pass will include a lot more shiny stuff. ‘The Last Maharaja’ pack includes 10 missions set in Britain where you help Duleep Singh to reclaim his rightful throne, which will release in early 2016. Apart from that, there are two extra missions, a 5% XP boost (seriously?) and some gear and weapons (sigh). Further details can be found here.
That is all for now. In other Ubi related stuff, you might wanna check out why we think For Honor can be a real success here.
