backward-compat-960Fans got what they wished for.Microsoft announced at E3 that the Xbox One will be able to play Xbox 360 games, and if you’re in the preview program you can start testing it today.Xbox 360 games that you bought from store will be free to play on Xbox one.If you have it on disc, just pop the disc in and it will download so you can play, although you will need to have the disc in the tray for it to work. For now the library is only 100 games but Microsoft said they are working on adding more titles.

You can play your xbox 360 games plus yue can take screen shots and use the Xbox one DVR to capture gameplay too. Backward compatibility is one of the best thing you can ask in a console. Its not enjoyable hook old dusty console to play a favorite game from past get. If one system can play old games, one cant be more happier. Excellent feature to have.

On the other side of the river Sony’s Ps4 runs on x86 and Ps3 runs on cell. It is very hard to make an emulator for ps4 to run ps3. Sony has its streaming service but poping the disk n playing is much better than paying subscription for a streaming service and paying for a highspeed internet. How sony strikes backs yet to be seen.
